| Green Hydrocreatives has signed commercial agreement for Designing, Build, Operate and Transfer for a 200 Nm3/hour Hydrogen generating plant based on biogas which will be required for the indigenous operations for production of sorbitol at the Head Quarters at Phagwara, Punjab. The project will be distinct in its own category for the first time in India where the respective Industry has taken an initiative to free its hydrogen supply from depending on Grid Power based electrolyzer or merchant hydrogen. The biogas which is generated in the premises through UASB process is a perennial source for the process and makes it also eligible for the carbon benefits. The company is grateful to have been given an opportunity for demonstrating a technology capable to slash down carbon emissions in such industries based on Grid power based electrolyzers that too at a cost effective and 30 -35% lesser rates than that of market price of hydrogen. We feel that we will pass through a major milestone and will open the Indian and export market after successful demonstration of this project. |

Sukhjit was born in the year 1943, Two discerning young enterpreneurs having spotted the immense potential of the wonder grain "MAIZE", decided to set up a Corn Wet Milling Facility. After due diligence, they chose to set up the plant in a small town-ship called Phagwara in the state of "Punjab & East Punjab Union" also known as the Granary of India. Thus giving Birth to .... "The Sukhjit Starch & Chemicals Ltd."
Sukhjit has since grown by judicious and innovative utilization of its unique traditions to meet the challenge of the future, from a modest beginning of 1800 TPA Corn Grind in 1943 to over 200,000 TPA of Corn Grind spread across Four manufacturing Locations within India and is in the process of expanding capacities to breach the 300,000 TPA corn Grind mark by the end of 2009. Sukhjit is a leader in its field and always at the forefront amongst its peers.
Sukhjit's technical expertise of more than 60 yers ensures optimum adaptation to end use. Apart from Native Starch, The Company manufactures modified starch, dextrine, Liquid Glucose, HMS, Maltro-Dextrin, Mono-Hydrate Dextrose, Any-Hydrose dextrose, sorbitol-70% Solution and various By-Products, catering to a wide spectrum of Industries. |
